ROUNDING THE BASES
Each game is a mission where we have to get from homeplate back to homeplate with a few casualties as possible.
- A baseball casualty is: - FRUSTRATION
- DISTRACTION
- LOSS OF CONFIDENCE

Our ultimate goal is to REALIZE TEAM POTENTIAL AND LIMIT CASUALTIES WE MUST DISPLAY THESE OPERATING TRAITS.
Home to 1st: HUMBLY accept success
- Expect success, but when it occurs, humbly accept the success and do not act in a way which will alienate others
- When we beat other teams, act like you have done it before! - Realize winning that day is a small “battle” in a larger “War”
- CELEBRATIONS WILL HAPPEN, just in appropriate ways and at appropriate times

1st to 2nd: Good Teammate, Growth Mindset
- If a teammate makes a mistake WE PICK THEM UP, NOT BURY THEM! - We ask ourself, “How can I play a role in my teammates improvement?”

- When we play well, WE DO NOT MAKE OTHERS FEEL BAD ABOUT THEIR PERFORMANCE - We also do not SELF AGRANDIZE!

- When we FAIL, we FAIL FORWARD. Failure is NOT FATAL! We view all failures as an opportunity to improve our techniques and learn from failure.
- WE CELEBRATE OUR TEAMMATES SUCCESSES! MUDITA FOREVER!
2nd to 3rd: RISE TO THE OCCASION
- There will come a time when EXECUTION will be the only thing that can save our season. - If we have not taken care of 1st and 2nd base, Rising to the occasion becomes inherently far more difficult.
- We must take care of all of our business so that when the time comes, WE ARE ABLE to effectivley rise to the occasion as well as we can
- “BE ABLE TO GIVE YOUR BEST WHEN YOUR BEST IS NEEDED”

3rd to HOME: REALIZE TEAM POTENTIAL
- By rising to the occasion more times than not, our team will be able to meet our stated goals and reach our potential as a program.
