WHAT DOES GRIT LOOK LIKE
Perseverence / Operating Relentlessly
“Only 2 things can defeat a person’s will, SUCCESS or FAILURE”
- Relentlessly Competing with TENACITY (MUST BE HABITUAL IN EVERYTHING WE DO) - We are immune to all outside factors that can psychologically diminish our performance

- 100% EFFORT ALWAYS (less than 100% is not tolerated) - HUSTLE in games and practice (run our GB / FB), Slide hard, Dive after balls
- PLAY HARD BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT WARRIORS DO - “In the warrior’s code there’s no surrender, though the body says STOP, the spirit cries NEVER!”

- Scoreboards and Stat lines DO NOT DICTATE OUR INTENSITY OF PLAY!

- Perseverance in the face of adversity (Adversity requires creativity to overcome) - Embrace long odds…..OVERCOME THE ODDS
- Adversity is overcome during training. TRAIN YOUR MIND TO SEE ADVERSITY AS OPPORTUNITY.

- Embracing the Grind of training - We will set training goals and seek to achieve these
- We will reward training

Skills that will helps us build our GRIT:
- Process oriented success
- Mastering controllable vs. Letting uncontrollable go
- Competing in adverse situations
- Collective training sessions
How GRIT builds Brotherhood:
- When a guy is a GRITTY player, teammates know they can TRUST him and that he will GIVE HIS ALL
- Relentlessly competing alongside one another MINIMIZES DIVISION and forces players to enhance the best characteristics within one another (crucible of training)
- Creatively figuring out ways to overcome adversity makes teammates APPRECIATE one another
- GRINDING together make players feel a COMMON PURPOSE and links them with interdependence.
